XYC TP 39-311 A/B Anti-Friction Dry Film Lubricant Coating for Automotive Mechanisms 1KG

Basic Information

- Product Profile: XYC TP 39-311 A/B
- Characteristics: Dry film lubricant, anti-friction coating, water-based lubricant coating, seat belt latch coating, two-component dry lubricant.
- XYC TP 39-311 A/B is an industrial-tier, thermo-curing (heat-hardening), water-miscible two-component (2K) black dry anti-friction bonded coating. Formulated around a high-purity matrix of selected solid lubricants and an organic binding agent, this dry film lubricant is engineered specifically to replace fluid oils and greases in safety-critical assemblies. Once chemically cross-linked through thermal curing, it forms an extremely hard, low-friction, dry protective layer. This dry film behaves entirely like a solid-state barrier that thrives under severe contact pressures and boundary friction regimes where liquid lubricants would immediately squeeze out, ensuring an ultra-low, uniform coefficient of friction and completely preventing stick-slip failures. Because of its water-based chemistry, it has a very low VOC footprint, allowing manufacturing facilities to comply with environmental regulations without installing expensive solvent vapor extraction systems.

Technical Specifications

1. Dual Protection Against Wear and Corrosion: Delivers excellent load-carrying capacity while acting as a continuous physical shield that safeguards raw ground-steel substrates against environmental rusting and pitting.
2. Broad Operating Temperature Window: Fully maintains its protective solid lubrication barrier and structural low breakaway torque curves across a wide performance span from -40 °C up to +200 °C (-40 °F to +392 °F).
3. Tenacious Surface Adhesion Requirements: Bonds strongly to specialized steel, titanium, aluminum, and zinc-phosphated or manganese-phosphated metal surfaces. For maximum industrial durability, components must be thoroughly degreased and sandblasted or chemically etched prior to coating.

Core Performance Advantages

Process-Optimized Clean Mechanics: The dry-to-the-touch finish eliminates the risk of grease migration, dripping, or workspace contamination. It prevents dust, sand, and ambient production debris from sticking to the component surface. This makes it highly advantageous for automated high-volume production lines, ensuring that pre-lubricated components do not stick together or jam inside automated delivery chutes and sorting bins (feeding hoppers).

Primary Applications

• Automotive Seat Belt Latches and Buckles: The primary global factory standard for coating safety belt latch components, locking springs, and metal fittings to guarantee lifelong maintenance-free operation and low click forces.
• Automotive Mechanism Linkages: Extensively applied to seat adjusters, door locks, hood latches, hinges, and small sliding tracks exposed to erratic weather and high vibrations.
• Precision Hardware and Slides: Used inside miniature mechanical control devices and electrical sub-assemblies where loose oil vapors or creeping lubricants could bleed onto adjacent electrical contacts or sensors.

Industrial Processing & Mixing Guidelines

• Mixing Requirements: As a reactive two-component kit, Component A (Base) must be mechanically stirred thoroughly to completely re-disperse any settled solid lubricants before adding Component B (Hardener). Blend the two parts precisely in their specified industrial ratios.
• Application Methods: Optimized for automatic spray guns, roller coating, or dipping bath systems using oil- and water-free compressed air. It is recommended to pass the mixed liquid through a 125–150 µm nylon mesh filter to remove any potential solid agglomerates before feeding standard pneumatic or HVLP spray systems.
• Thinning and Equipment Cleaning: If adjustments to target flow viscosities are needed for tight spray profiles, the mixture must be diluted exclusively with demineralized water (distilled water). Equipment can be flushed with clean water while the coating is still wet.
• Forced Thermal Curing Profile: The layer becomes dry to the touch after a short room-temperature flash-off period. However, to fully activate chemical cross-linking and lock in its high-pressure wear resistance, it requires a forced thermal oven cure of 30 minutes at a minimum object temperature of 170 °C to 180 °C (referring to the temperature of the actual metal part, not the ambient oven air).
