XYC S 02-004 Water-Based Low-VOC Rubber Adhesion Primer for Elastomer Coatings 1KG
Basic Information
- Product Profile: XYC S 02-004
- Characteristics: Rubber adhesion primer, elastomer coating, wiper blade primer, water-based rubber primer, solid lubricant primer.
- XYC S 02-004 is an advanced, water-miscible solid lubricant suspension designed to serve as a specialized adhesion improver (primer coating) for elastomer substrates. In industrial manufacturing, getting top-coated dry-film lubricants to permanently adhere to flexible synthetic rubbers is highly challenging. XYC S 02-004 elastomer coating addresses this by acting as a highly flexible primary bonding layer. It contains an integrated UV fluorescent indicator (active under 300–400 nm excitation wavelengths), which allows factory quality control teams to quickly scan treated parts under a blacklight to ensure 100% uniform surface coverage and spot any unprimed gaps before moving to the top-coat stage. Due to its water-based formulation and low volatile organic compound (low VOC) footprint, this rubber adhesion primer eliminates the need for expensive chemical vapor extraction filters during processing.
Technical Specifications
1. Prevents Stick-Slip Actions: Significantly helps reduce friction spike behaviors at rubber-to-glass or rubber-to-metal contact lines.
2. Excellent Thin-Film Metrics: Designed to form a highly uniform layer thickness of approximately 5 to 10 µm.
3. Broad Service Thermal Profile: Maintains baseline material properties and flexibility across a performance span of -40 °C to +100 °C.
4. Flexible Processing Tolerances: Can be applied via automatic spray guns, slot die coating, immersion baths, or brush coating. It can even be sprayed directly onto hot elastomer profiles during continuous extrusion lines at temperatures up to 150 °C.

Core Performance Advantages
• Highly Flexible Production Workflow: The formula is engineered to easily accommodate variable production schedules by allowing both online and offline industrial workflows:
• Online (Wet-in-Wet): The secondary dry-film anti-friction top-coat can be sprayed immediately onto the wet primer layer before entering the curing oven, accelerating cycle times.
• Offline: Substrates can be primed, dried, and safely stored for up to four weeks without becoming sticky or losing bonding performance, providing excellent manufacturing batch flexibility.

Primary Applications
• Automotive Windshield Wiper Blades: Applied directly onto dynamic rubber wiper profiles to ensure that specialized anti-friction top-coats bond permanently, preventing the peeling that leads to wiping chatter or friction squeaks.
• Precision O-Rings & Dynamic Elastomeric Seals: Used to treat synthetic rubber seals and gaskets, ensuring that protective layers stay intact under constant friction and mechanical flexing.
