Core Performance Advantages
- Chemical Resistance: Completely inert to aggressive chemicals, including chlorine, fluorine, strong mineral acids (hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric), concentrated alkalis, and strong oxidizers.
- Solvent & Fuel Resistance: Resists washout and dissolution from hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, water, and steam.
- High Load Capacity: Maintains a durable lubricating film on metal-on-metal or metal-on-elastomer surfaces under friction and mechanical stress.
Primary Applications
2. Cryogenic & Gas Handling: Lubrication of valve stems, seals, and thread joints in gaseous and liquid oxygen plant equipment.
3. Gaskets & O-Rings: Assembly lube and sealant for fluoropolymer (PTFE/FKM) static and dynamic seals to prevent sticking and leakage.
4. Vacuum Systems: High-vacuum sealing grease due to its very low vapor pressure and resistance to outgassing.

Chemical Resistance Differences
- Excellent resistance to neutral gases, dry chlorine, strong mineral acids, water, and steam.
- Critical Limitation: Because it is thickened with silica, XYC Grease 90 is attacked and dissolved by Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) and concentrated alkaline solutions (e.g., liquid NaOH or KOH).
- XYC Grease 901 (Silica-Free / Fluoropolymer Thickener):
- Provides total chemical inertness across a broader spectrum.
- Resists concentrated alkalis, strong bases, hydrofluoric acid, halogens, organic solvents, and aggressive oxidizers without degradation or washout.
Typical Applications Difference
- High-temperature valve stems and regulators (150℃ to 170℃).
- Oxygen compression and transfer equipment in non-alkaline environments.
- Equipment exposed to radiation in nuclear facilities (due to strong radiation resistance).
XYC Grease 901
- Chemical plant valves, pumps, and seals handling caustic liquids/alkalis or hydrofluoric acid.
- Assembly lubricant for fluoropolymer (PTFE/FKM) seals, gaskets, and O-rings exposed to harsh solvents or acid lines.
- Low-temperature chemical service down to -20℃.
