XYC 44 Light High-Temperature Silicone Grease for Plastics and Rubber 1KG

Detailed Information

- XYC 44 Light High Temperature Grease is a silicone-based, lithium-thickened lubricant optimized for high-temperature bearings, plastic mechanisms, and rubber components. It provides an NLGI Grade 1 (light/soft) consistency and is formulated without any intentional PTFE or PFAS chemistry. Unlike XYC 33, which specializes in extreme Arctic temperatures, XYC 44 is designed to combat high thermal degradation and heat cycles.
- Key Characteristics: High-temperature silicone grease, NLGI Grade 1 silicone lubricant, bearing grease for plastics, silicone grease for rubber and plastic components.

Technical Performance

• NLGI Consistency: Grade 1
• Base Chemistry: Silicone oil with a lithium soap thickener
• Service Temperature Range: -40°C to 204°C (-40°F to 400°F)
• Base Oil Viscosity: 84 mm²/s (cSt) at 40°C (or 125 mm²/s at 25°C)
• Density: 1.0 g/cm³ at 25°C
• Dropping Point: ≥ 204°C

Key Features

• High Thermal Stability: Resists oxidation, melting, and breakdown during repeated high-heat operations up to 204°C.
• Low Evaporation & Volatility: Features very low weight loss and oil separation (bleed rate of ~4% at 150°C over 24 hours), which vastly extends operational life compared to standard mineral oils.
• Plastics & Rubber Compatibility: Inert formulation makes it safe for use on almost all plastic and elastomeric substrates without causing swelling or cracking.
• Water & Moisture Resistance: Resists water washout (0.5% max at standard testing), making it ideal for units exposed to outdoor weathering or high humidity.

Application Fields

XYC 44 Light is commonly used in industrial manufacturing, automotive parts, and precision equipment:
• High-Heat Industrial Bearings: Rolling-element bearings in oven fans, kiln preheaters, textile dryers, slashers, and industrial conveyors.
• Automotive Mechanisms: Clutch release bearings, actuator gears, radiator cooling fans, and outdoor control cables.
• Material-Mixed Components: Plastic-to-plastic and plastic-to-metal contact points, such as small gears, dampers, and sliding tracks.
