XYC TORR 6351 PFPE Fluid Lubricant Ultra-High Vacuum Oil For Semiconductor and Aerospace 1KG

Basic Information

- Base Chemistry: PFPE Fluid
- Characteristics: PFPE fluid lubricant, ultra-high vacuum oil, UHV space lubricant, low-outgassing PFPE.
- Primary Function: XYC TORR lubricants are recommended for applications operating under high vacuum and high temperature where contamination is a concern. XYC TORR base oils are processed to deliver the lowest outgassing among XYC lubricants. To ensure low particle and low outgassing levels, each lot is ultrafiltered and tested per ASTM E595 to verify that the products meet vacuum stability requirements.
- XYC TORR product line consists of both PFPE and MAC chemistries. Both PFPE and MAC lubricants are recommended for vacuum environments because of their low vapor pressures and low outgassing properties. PFPE lubricants offer better high-temperature performance (up to 250 °C) than MAC lubricants (up to 150 °C). Additionally, PFPE lubricants offer inherent chemical inertness, which translates to unsurpassed resistance to oxidation and hydrolytic degradation, and provides excellent elastomer compatibility. Due to their unique base oil chemistry and additive packages, MAC lubricants provide superior wear protection and bearing life performance. Most MAC and PFPE products are ultrafiltered. XYC TORR products comply with PFOA regulations.

Key Characteristics

- Extreme Vacuum Compatibility: Formulated to maintain ultra-low vapor pressures, preventing rapid evaporation or outgassing in high and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chambers.
- Thermal Range: Capable of handling wide temperature swings (often from -65℃ to 250℃ depending on the exact grade).
- Chemical Inertness: Inherent oxidation resistance, aggressive reactive gases, and harsh chemicals make them safe for semiconductor processing equipment, aerospace mechanisms, and cleanrooms.
- A heavy-viscosity base oil frequently utilized as a grease replacement for static vacuum seals where motion damping is required.
- XYC TORR 6351 engineered for ultra-high vacuum and space applications with near-zero outgassing and extreme thermal stability.
- XYC 6000 Series (e.g., TORR 6301, 6351): Undergoes stricter ultrafiltration processes to achieve near-zero outgassing rates (tested rigorously per ASTM E595), making them suitable for sensitive ultra-high vacuum (UHV) and space applications where chamber contamination must be completely avoided.

Application Areas

XYC TORR lubricants are chemically stable, non-toxic, low-vapor-pressure, synthetic lubricants designed for cleanroom and in-vacuum applications such as those found in the semiconductor and aerospace industries. These lubricants typically contain a PTFE thickener and a cyclopentane (MAC) or perfluoropolyether (PFPE) base oil, which are well suited for wide temperature applications where exposure to harsh chemicals may be a concern.
These lubricants improve the performance of bearings, linear guides, ball and lead screws, and seals by:
- Protecting against friction & wear
- Preventing corrosion
- Extending component life
- Ensuring component reliability
- Preventing contamination
- Controlling precision motion
