    XYC MRO 2505 grease is a thicker-bodied, moderate viscosity PCTFE oil thickened with silica designed for applications over a broad range of temperatures. A controlled polymerization process manufactures this inert oil and then stabilizes it to give it some very unique properties. This oil is safe, chemically inert, nonflammable, and oxygen and chlorine-compatible. It has good lubricity, high thermal stability, and low compressibility.

    The thickener used in this grease is a very fine silica powder. Silica is a commonly requested grease thickener, but its chemical stability is more limited than that of the PCTFE oil. Silica-thickened greases can be prone to attack by chemicals active toward silica, such as alkalis, hydrofluoric acid, and fluorinating agents. Compatibility of silica-thickened greases should be confirmed before being used in applications in contact with these chemicals.
