XYC G-746 High-Purity Thermal Conductive Silicone Grease for Power Electronics 1KG

XYC G-746 1KG
XYC G-746 is a high-purity thermal-conductive silicone grease designed as a Thermal Interface Material (TIM) to efficiently transfer heat away from non-moving electrical components, distinguishing it from lubricating greases. Its formulation with synthetic silicone fluid and highly refined conductive metal oxides, primarily zinc oxide, ensures optimized thermal transfer by filling microscopic air gaps between hot surfaces and cooling sinks. The product also boasts outstanding structural stability, superior electrical insulation, and weather/moisture-proof properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including power electronics, computer maintenance, automotive systems, and high-output LEDs.

XYC G-746 High-Purity Thermal Conductive Silicone Grease for Power Electronics 1KG

Detailed Information

XYC G-746 transitions you into a completely different category from the XYC G-40M. While XYC G-40M is a lubricating grease for moving parts, XYC G-746 is a high-purity thermal conductive silicone grease/oil compound. It is formulated by blending a synthetic silicone fluid base with highly refined conductive metal oxides (primarily zinc oxide). Instead of facilitating motion, its sole purpose is to serve as a Thermal Interface Material (TIM) to transfer heat away from non-moving electrical components.
> Important Usage Note: If you are transitioning from arcade joysticks or mechanical sliders, do not use XYC G-746 here. Because it is heavily loaded with metal oxides for heat dissipation, using it as a mechanical lubricant will cause high friction, grinding, and will quickly gum up moving parts.

Key Features

- Type: Thermal conductive silicone grease, thermal interface material, heat sink compound.
- Optimized Thermal Transfer: Designed to fill microscopic air gaps and surface imperfections between hot semiconductor surfaces and cooling sinks, ensuring a uniform path for heat.
- Outstanding Structural Stability: Resists drying out, hardening, or caking even after thousands of hours of continuous operation. It features an exceptionally low oil separation rate (~0.01%).
- Superior Electrical Insulation: Offers excellent dielectric properties, meaning it can be applied directly onto circuit boards and electrical components without risk of short-circuiting.
- Weather & Moisture Proof: Inherently hydrophobic (water-repelling) and highly resistant to environmental oxidation, protecting underlying components from corrosion.

Application Fields

- Power Electronics: Heavily utilized on resin-encapsulated power transistors, MOSFETs, and IGBT modules to effectively manage junction temperatures.
- Computer Maintenance: Used as a general-purpose thermal paste for cooling CPUs, GPUs, and motherboard ICs.
- Automotive Systems: Integrated into Electronic Control Units (ECUs), automotive LED headlight modules, and battery management systems due to its reliability across temperature extremes.
- High-Output LEDs: Applied to high-power industrial LED arrays to channel heat safely into structural heat sinks.
