XYC 103 XHT Extreme High-Temperature Perfluoropolyether Grease 1KG

Description

Type: High temperature grease, extreme temperature lubricant, perfluoropolyether grease, industrial lubricants
Working Temperature: -70°C to 360°C
Packaging: 1KG, 25KG
Designed to perform under extreme operating conditions, XYC 103 utilizes a combination of base oil, thickener, and chemical additives to achieve variable viscosities, making it suitable for use at exceptionally high temperatures.
While most petroleum-based products begin to degrade below 99°C (210°F) and become excessively viscous near -18°C (0°F), XYC 103 offers a significantly broader operating temperature range, from -70°C to 360°C (-94°F to 680°F). When applied under appropriate metallurgical conditions and subjected to regular re-lubrication, XYC 103 can function effectively at temperatures up to 400°C (752°F).

Characteristics

In addition to its capability to operate at extreme temperatures, XYC 103 offers the following features and benefits:
- Non-Flammable: Composed solely of carbon, oxygen, and fluorine, XYC 103 does not contain hydrogen, making it non-combustible and incapable of supporting combustion, even in environments with 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen.
- Chemical Inertness: XYC 103 exhibits exceptional resistance to chemical reactions, remaining stable against nearly all chemical substances except for highly fluorinated liquids and certain supercritical fluids like carbon dioxide. It is insoluble in most solvents.
- Thermal and Oxidation Stability: Differential thermal analysis indicates that XYC 103 degrades around 470°C (878°F) in the absence of air. When tested in a nitrogen environment at 371°C (700°F) for six hours, XYC 103 demonstrated no increase in acid number or significant viscosity changes. The presence of air does not substantially lower its decomposition point.
